World of Asphalt 2009 was a major success for Neuwaukum Industries Inc. (NII) and GOBLIN™ Hard Hat Safety Mirrors! The "GOBLIN™ Effect" swept through the tradeshow floor and created believers out of everyone including representatives from DOTs, OSHA, ARTBA, FHWA, Lane, Granite, Lafarge, APAC and large construction companies from 16+ other countries, and the list goes on.
We were also thrilled to see GOBLIN™ Hard Hat Safety Mirrors pictured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Seattle Times as part of their post-show coverage.
At the Work Zone Safety Conference, held in conjunction with World of Asphalt, we learned that nearly 40% of all work zone fatalities are the result of flaggers and/or workers being struck by vehicles or mobile equipment. We also learned the proposed ANSI A10.47 standards on Work Zone Safety will include recommendations that workers and flaggers exposed to moving vehicles/equipment be equipped with hard hat mounted mirrors. NII is thrilled to help employers nationwide meet these best practice standards.
